My Story

The ocean taught me what years of art degrees couldn't—that creativity moves in natural ebbs and flows, not perfection.  I've been making art since I was five—when I asked my mom for “real art lessons,” not just arts and crafts. A lifelong perfectionist, it took years and several degrees before I finally felt worthy of calling myself an artist.

The ocean was my greatest teacher—her calm eddies, tidal pulls, raging storms, and unexplainable beauty mirrored my own internal seascape. To this day, I feel most alive and free by her side, where calm and fiery light meet after each walk along her shores.

Although I knew I wanted to be an artist from an early age, choosing this unconventional path left me feeling like some part of me didn't truly belong in the dominant culture. This sense of displacement led to a constant search for "more," something to ease the unsettledness that had taken root in my heart.

Alongside this restlessness came the people-pleaser and the self-doubter. I learned early to "duck and dive," skillfully avoiding conflict at every turn. But this survival strategy came with a cost—it developed into debilitating decision paralysis that would follow me for years. I didn't realize it then, but ultimately, I didn't trust or feel safe within the structures and expectations of a capitalistic, patriarchal culture.

This affected the way I made art. I was consistently (and subconsciously) seeking external validation for my work, backing it with scientific and academic research to 'prove' its value. This showed up in the guilt I felt for even trying to sell my art for a fraction of what it was worth.

Then life cracked me open. When my fiancé and I canceled our wedding, I was left in a crevice of confusion and pain.  When he left, the illusion I’d held together so tightly also crumbled. Grief, anger, and anxiety became my constant companions.  I rebuilt myself piece by piece—one breath at a time—climbing out of the depths.

Fortunately, I had a disciplined mind and resilient body, for which I'm eternally grateful. I began practicing self-love in small ways—making modest yet confident decisions that slowly rebuilt my power. I put myself in uncomfortable situations, saying no to men, family, and authority figures as I shifted from what everyone else wanted to what I truly wanted. Eventually, I discovered the key to living from my creative truth was my feminine essence—the very thing our culture works so hard to suppress.

In 2020, as the pandemic shut us all down, I began to open up. What emerged surprised even me—bivulvas—erotic, sensual, tongue-in-cheek sculptures that brought me both joy and fear.  They thrilled and terrified me—because they revealed the parts of womanhood I had been taught to hide. That emotional intensity told me I was onto something powerful. In 2021, I established In the Raw Art, sharing this imagery more broadly and eventually working directly with women to create intimate custom pieces.

This all felt risky—stepping boldly into a patriarchal "fuck you" while celebrating in-your-face femininity. It also felt fun, liberating, and deeply connected to my belief that we are nature itself. Part of our power can be reclaimed by embracing our archetypal and primal urges, needs, and feelings. These primal sensations feed our gut and heart, helping us feel safe in our bodies, trust ourselves, and ignite our sensual aliveness.

I know what it's like to live someone else's dream, to feel stuck in a world where I don't belong, to sacrifice my raw creativity to make others feel safe. When I finally said "NO!" it took me to hell and back, but the Dark Night of the Soul reveals what you truly have to live for: it's you. You get to live for yourself...so you might as well make it juicy!

Women are the great creators. Our bodies are centered around this truth—whether you can or choose to have children or not, the womb is the power center of creativity and abundance. I chose to pursue Feminine Embodiment Coaching to deepen my understanding of how to support women in their own transformation toward the divine feminine: expressing their imperfectly beautiful wholeness, receiving life's abundance, and honoring their innate ability to create.

My coaching approach is somatic, sensitive, and deeply honors your inner wisdom. I guide you through breath, embodied connection, artistic practices, and insightful questions to move out of your mind and into the felt senses of the body. This liberates tension and creates space for pleasure and creativity. Every person is unique, as is every session I facilitate. I bring two decades of lived experience as a working artist who has navigated the risks, vulnerability, and pure joy of sharing authentic creative expression. I'm passionate about supporting women in their transformation.I invite you to work with me to ignite and reawaken your creative flow, illuminate your inner Eros, and stop making others feel safe. It's time to trust yourself and immerse in your own authentic, potent expression—to sensually experience life on your own terms, In the Raw.
